Building the European Drone Ecosystem Together
Exploring Collaboration and Joint Projects

Location: Dutch Permanent Representation of The Netherlands to the EU, Trierstraat 31/35, Brussels

Date: Wednesday 11 June 2025

Drones are utilized for various services for both civil and defense-related end users. Citizens, social organizations, member states, and businesses benefit from numerous societal applications of drones. Strategic autonomy requires market harmonization, production security and increased European cooperation.

In line with the Draghi report Europe needs to invest in the UAS sector to establish a strong position on the global market and create a strategic independence from global players like the USA or China. Therefore the joint effort on unmanned aviation from member states, European Commission and EU organisations should remain high or even increase. This meeting intends to shape this joint effort.

Drone Council The Netherlands, in collaboration with ADW and the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (Ministry of Transport), invites you to a knowledge and networking event on Wednesday 11 June 2025 at the Dutch Embassy in Brussels.

During the meeting we will explore possibilities for European-wide cooperation and development of the ecosystem, partly based on EU financing. The Dutch DroneBoost programme will be used as an example for bringing the ecosystem together.
