Amsterdam Drone Week 2019: Cities and citizens are the biggest drivers of change in Mobility

The second edition of the Amsterdam Drone Week and the EASA High Level Conference on Drones, which will be take place from 4 – 6 December, makes Amsterdam for three days the most important worldwide platform for sharing knowledge on current air solutions, potential innovations and vital regulations. A top-level meeting point in the first week of December where all key players, big and small, commercial and non-commercial, from various industries, knowledge institutes and authorities, gather to co-create and co-operate on creating urban air solutions together.

Opening session 4 December

During the three-day event, RAI Amsterdam is the epicenter of the world of air mobility. The week is divided into five content tracks: Digital Infrastructure (U-Space/UTM), Urban Air Mobility (UAM), Mobility as a Service (MaaS), Technology and Solutions and Rules and Regulations (EASA High Level Conference). Each of the themes has its own impressive knowledge program, spread over the showcase area, the special drone arena, the solutions theatre and the conference floor at RAI Amsterdam. The title of the opening session on Wednesday the 4th of December is ‘Cities and citizens are the biggest drivers of change in Mobility’. Where Majors from around the globe will give their perspective on this change.

Highlights Conference programme

Over 3 days knowledge sessions will take place on five content tracks.
The Digital infrastructure (U-Space/UTM) track is about opening airspace for commercial drones, creating a reliable digital infrastructure and traffic management system for drones in the EU, Drone Management Apps and Dynamic Geofencing Technologies.
During the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) track the Urban Air Mobility Ecosystem in cities as Amsterdam, Torino and Ingolstadt, the future of Autonomous and Mobility, the impact of UAM on the future of airports and public safety with drones will be discussed in more detail.
Mobility as a Service (MaaS) is discussed with topics such as the well-known Last Mile: harness the power of mobility data, cyber security and the new generation of shared mobility customers. In the area of Technology and Solutions, there will be a lot of attention for current air solutions, user cases and potential innovations.

High Level Conference

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) hosts the High Level Conference on Drones which will take place at December 5 and 6. The conference will focus on the topic ‘Scaling drone operations’ and will bring together regulatory bodies and industry experts from all over the world to discuss the development of a common European regulation framework for drones.

Tickets for delegates and visitors

Tickets are available for both the conferences during the Amsterdam Drone Week and the EASA High Level Conference on Drones. Only the showcase area, the special drone arena and the solutions theater are free for day visitors.
